Overly Cool Themed Blogs

Well. There are two groups of people. Α) These who manage to remember the superb ideas during the just-before-you-sleep-moment brainstorm or during their shower and B) those who don't. Some of the first ones sat down and made some really great themed blogs which consist variations of a simple idea. Simple like, "hey I thought this too". Yeah, but those made it happen, while you were still staring at it.

1. The Humble Ultimatum

Acres of woods.  Just for your eyes' relaxation. All together here. Enjoy!

2. Dear Photograph.

You take a picture of the picture you hold in the same place that the past photo was shoot. Ok, you didn't understand anything that I wrote, right? It's like inception, but with photos. Anyway, the idea behind this blog it's simply great!

3. Things Organized Neatly.

Feel no shame about your OCD and your mania to place things symmetrically here and there. We are not alone!

4. Follow your Heart Project

I made a list of themed blogs and of course our project couldn't miss the party. You know the thing, you shoot a heart shaped object and you send us the picture and blah blah blah.

5. Oceans.

'Cause the sea is beautiful, even if it scares me sometimes.

6. Free Crappy Portraits.

Just epic. Send your photo and the artists behind this blog will illustrate it in a unique 5 years old-ish way. (Somewhere in there, there is my photo's illustration too. If you find it I will reward you with popcorn and refreshments in the cinema, for the rest of your life.)

7. Lousy Book Covers.

At last! One consolidated list of tastelessness! You wrote the book and in the case you wanted to sell at least one copy of it you shouldn't design its cover too. But, you failed. You failed miserably.

8. Post Secret

.Imprint your soreness on a postcard or a photo or on a paper towel and send it there. This blog overflows with emotions.

And know that I'm always on the search for some good themed blogs. So go ahead, send me your favorite ones.

Déspina Kortesidou

Déspina Kortesidou was born with the April flowers sometime in the '90s in the sunny peninsula of Greece. She is a graduating master student of neuroscience & metabolism, and a born adventurer.

(3rd person statements sound so official, love it)

She founded In Whirl of Inspiration, back in 2011 when she was (just) a biology student, in the island of Crete. In Whirl of Inspiration started as a creative and writing outlet for when studying molecules, became too monotonous. Recently, she started writing a children book and a not-so-children's book about the civil war in Greece. She has a soft spot for cheese, elder people, and (her own) jokes, but can't tell any as she ruins them by laughing too early. She enjoys sharing advice for eating healthier, or inspiring people to cover themshelves with plants, color and confetti.

Feel free to email her at hello@inwhirlofinspiration.com, or find her on Instagram and Twitter. (breaking the 3rd person narration to thank you properly)

Thank you so much for reading!
