The Best Arcade/Puzzle Games you will Play

Well, let me tell you how it goes in this post. I suggest you 4 games that you will surely want to play, but you don't know it yet. You will realize that your pc life was completely meaningless before them, that might god exists and that you would stay awake all night playing them. For all these reasons, and because we aren't little children anymore and because you are bored to death playing Plants vs. Zombies again and because you can't find any good arcade/ puzzle game, please download and play.

Yes I know. When will the No2 will be released?

1. Machinarium is -probably- the best point-and-click adventure that I have played for years. And believe me I am a vivid gamer myself. The music? The angels hear it before going to bed.  The graphics? My jaw is on the floor! The story? Applausable! Go. Play. It. Now.

Tears shed when it was finished : 6/5

2. World of Goo. You haven't experienced such an adorable use of the physics' laws (eg, vibration, buoyancy, voltage ) in a puzzle game, ever. Plus, the little Goo balls are so hug-able.

Shed tears when finished: 5/5, yes people, yes

3. LIMBO is like a dark, spooky child's nightmare, but -guess?- it's better than it. Disturbingly and weirdly beautiful. Do you copy? You have to play it.

Shed tears when finished: I am not ready to finish it and leave its world yet.

4. OSMOS, is another physics-based game. Here at your door mat. Take it home, give it some -well deserving- love. It will show how cell roll. Cool, huh?

Shed tears when finished: in the last stages it becomes quite hard. Where is my physics knowledge now that I need it?

Now, for the simple reason that I wasn't born yesterday, I know the story. Webpage, promo video, I like it, Pirate Bay, download torrent, boom! Please don't, if you really like these games purchase them. I think that their prices are really affordable and plus these small studios won't be able to produce a sequel without some kind of -economical- support.

Happy gaming in either way! :)

Déspina Kortesidou

Déspina Kortesidou was born with the April flowers sometime in the '90s in the sunny peninsula of Greece. She is a graduating master student of neuroscience & metabolism, and a born adventurer.

(3rd person statements sound so official, love it)

She founded In Whirl of Inspiration, back in 2011 when she was (just) a biology student, in the island of Crete. In Whirl of Inspiration started as a creative and writing outlet for when studying molecules, became too monotonous. Recently, she started writing a children book and a not-so-children's book about the civil war in Greece. She has a soft spot for cheese, elder people, and (her own) jokes, but can't tell any as she ruins them by laughing too early. She enjoys sharing advice for eating healthier, or inspiring people to cover themshelves with plants, color and confetti.

Feel free to email her at, or find her on Instagram and Twitter. (breaking the 3rd person narration to thank you properly)

Thank you so much for reading!
